Treating rosacea
Rosacea
With rosacea, you experience redness and flushing with visible dilated blood vessels. It’s a skin condition that appears mostly on the face and is most common among women between the ages of 30 and 60. You often experience pimples and bumps, but with rosacea, blackheads are not present. The difference between rosacea and couperose is that couperose does not involve bumps or pimples. With rosacea, the skin may also show thickening.
Causes of rosacea
Rosacea often flares up with changes in climate such as heat, cold, and wind. Food can also play a role in triggering a flare-up, as well as stress and smoking, which are known to worsen rosacea.
Rosacea requires targeted treatment. If treated incorrectly, symptoms may worsen. At Huidkliniek Parkstad, we have the knowledge and experience to create the right treatment plan.
