Vascular conditions
Treating vascular conditions
Huidkliniek Parkstad exclusively uses medically certified laser systems. We work with the Diode MeDioStar laser for performing vascular treatments.
Laser treatment of blood vessels is non-invasive compared to methods like electrocoagulation. The skin remains intact, which greatly reduces the risk of scarring or other skin damage. Thanks to the integrated cooling system, the top layer of the skin is extra protected, making the treatment feel more comfortable.
Because our laser is equipped with a professional custom mode, all individual settings can be adjusted separately. This allows us to treat many common vascular irregularities. The laser, with wavelengths suitable for both superficial and deeper vascular structures, is used to treat classic couperose or angiomas, as well as port wine stains, leg veins, or other benign vascular eruptions that are often cosmetically disturbing for both men and women.
Whether it’s for treating varicose veins, small leg veins (telangiectasias), or small red blemishes on the face, you’re in the right place with us! Book a consultation and we’ll discuss the possibilities together.
Treating varicose veins and more…
Varicose veins are dilated veins that usually do not cause complaints but can be cosmetically displeasing. Do you find them unsightly, or are they causing symptoms? Then there are various treatment options available: compression stockings, sclerotherapy, surgery, or laser treatment.
At Huidkliniek Parkstad, we primarily treat vascular concerns with laser. In addition to varicose veins, we also treat:
- telangiectasias
- couperose
- spider nevus
- venous lake
Laser treatment
In most cases, only two to three sessions are sufficient for treating vascular concerns. Diffuse redness that appears after the treatment fades within a few hours. The coagulated vessel may appear slightly darker but can be temporarily camouflaged with a medical-grade concealer suited to your skin condition.
Within three weeks, your body clears away the coagulated vessel and new blood vessels are formed. The results depend on several factors such as the size or extent of the area, the shape and location of the imperfection, heredity, age, lifestyle, and general skin condition.
Before starting laser treatment, our skin specialist will discuss the options with you during an intake consultation. Once the most appropriate treatment is determined, the procedure, expected results, and cost will be outlined in a personalized treatment plan.
